The Spirit of the Lord has been given to me, for he has annointed me.

RECONCILIATION

Jesus said: “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”

  • A priest is available for confession every Saturday between 4:15 and 4:45 PM.
  • A priest is available almost any time for confession by appointment. Please call the rectory to make an appointment.
  • We organize communal celebrations of the Sacrament of Reconciliation with individual confessions in Advent and Lent (before Christmas and Easter). Please check the announcements to find out when is the next upcoming celebration.

According to the Church’s command, “after having attained the age of discretion, each of the faithful is bound by an obligation faithfully to confess serious sins at least once a year.” Anyone who is aware of having committed a mortal sin must not receive Holy Communion, even if he experiences deep contrition, without having first received sacramental absolution, unless he has a grave reason for receiving Communion and there is no possibility of going to confession.
